Surrounded both by music and recording technologies from an early age, it seemed inevitable that Matt Redlich would become interested in finding ways of bridging the two.

While working building custom audio electronics at JLM Audio in Brisbane, he produced debut albums for Ball Park Music and Hungry Kids of Hungary in his parents’ basement.

He moved to his own dedicated facility in 2012, where he made records with Emma Louise, Ball Park Music (again), Holy Holy, The Trouble With Templeton and Ainslie Wills.

In 2016 he moved to Melbourne where he co-wrote and produced the album ‘Paint’ with Holy Holy, yielding the multi-platinum single ‘True Lovers’.  He also toured with the band as keyboardist and backing singer until 2018.

Since then, he has made records with Husky, Quivers, Dan Sultan, The Paper Kites, The Cactus Channel, Tom Snowdon, Hannah Cameron and many other wonderful local artists.

In 2019, he branched briefly into the moving image, shooting and recording a number of live performance videos for Husky’s 2020 album ‘Stardust Blues’, as well as a song for Ainslie Wills, to be released in 2021.  This was part of a project to make a spiritual record of the grand old share house in which members of Husky lived, dubbed ‘The Westbury Hotel’, which was to become a victim of gentrification in September that year.
